ASFD names winners of 2017 Pinnacle Awards

17 designs and their designers honored

HIGH POINT — Presenting the industry’s highest honor for outstanding design, Monday night the American Society of Furniture Designers honored 17 designs and their designers. 

The 2017 Pinnacle Awards banquet, held at the International Home Furnishings Center ballroom, honored 64 finalists competing in 14 product categories as well as for the Student Award, the Green Leaf Award and an award for Major Collections.

Lane Venture won in the Summer/Casual category for their new Cooper collection, designed by Frederic Spector, ASFD, and Alan Antonelli. The judges said this design is one of the most unique outdoor collections they’ve seen.

"Cooper integrates the beloved Scandinavian modern forms and details to the outdoor living space," the judges continued. "The textile pairings are colorful, fun and sophisticated. Excellent translation of historical forms and details to contemporary furniture."
