WithIt unveils plaque honoring 20 years
October 23, 2017,
HIGH POINT – WithIt, the women’s leadership development network for the home and furnishings industries, dedicated a bronze plaque in the Historic Market Square building near the Century Courtyard to honor the founders, founding board of directors and founding advisory council as part of the year-long celebration of WithIt's anniversary.
This permanent marker honors the first 20 years and spotlights the organization’s mission – to encourage and develop leadership, mentoring, education and networking opportunities for professional women in the home and furnishings industries.
International Market Centers both sponsored the plaque and provided a highly visible wall for its permanent location.
WithIt has chosen to honor the founding board of directors and founding advisory committee who worked tirelessly to raise funds, recruit members, create programs and build the organizational framework as a permanent recognition that women have had a significant influence on the industry.
The formal unveiling took place on Friday, October 13, 2017, and was attended by IMC management, WithIt members and leadership, as well as founders Jena Hall and Kimberley Wray and several founding members and sponsors. The third founder, Margaret “Peggy” Traub, passed away in 2013.
