Three Coins Cast lowers prices

Cinde W. Ingram -- Casual Living, 1/25/2012 10:13:35 AM

Three Coins Cast got a warm reception at the Atlanta market as buyers responded to both its new designs and its price decreases on cast-aluminum product, Owner Susie Powell said.

Powell said she was able to share the price savings that resulted from her investment last year in large, commercial sandblasting equipment. "Since aluminum is cast in sand, it actually has little pits in it so having this equipment in our plant, right here in Newnan, Georgia, saves time, money and actually makes the paint adhere better," Powell said.

Powell estimated buyer traffic was 40% higher than last January's show. Of the visitors to her booth, about 80% were new customers, she said. Buyers were actively writing orders as well as scooping up its new catalog. Because of the strong response to Three Coins' new Fleur de Lis chair, the line will be expanded in time for the High Point Market in April.

Its new High Point showroom will be located on the ground level of Suites of Market Square, G-3033, after a few years on the second floor of Showplace.

"We're looking forward to being in that new space," Powell said. "We're ready to go gangbusters."
