El Dorado celebrates 50 years with 50 families campaign

The company provided 50 underprivileged families with home furnishings

MIAMI — El Dorado Furniture is celebrating its 50th anniversary and is marking that milestone with a special giveaway for 50 underprivileged families throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Lee counties.

Through its 50 Years/50 Families Community Relations Campaign, El Dorado provided new home furnishings for 50 families. The campaign culminated with a special event Nov. 9 at its Pembroke Pines Boulevard showroom, during which the families came together with El Dorado to meet the community partners and suppliers who participated in the campaign.

“It is very gratifying to be able to help so many families within our community. These families will now have a place that they can be proud of, as many of them were sleeping on the floor,” says Roberto Capó, chief marketing officer of El Dorado Furniture. “Our design team went all out to make sure these families had all that they needed.”

In a press release, the company noted it spent more than $250,000 on the project.

El Dorado Furniture was established in 1967 by Manuel Capo and his sons, Luis and Carlos. Today, the Top 100 company has 14 stores throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Lee counties.
