Unity in Design event returns to High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C. — The High Point Design Center will host its annual Unity in Design event on Feb. 29-March 2.

Unity in Design 2012 is the HPDC premier event hosted in association with Design Professionals of North Carolina, an alliance of Association of Interior Design Professionals (AIDP), American Society of Interior Designers Carolinas (ASID Carolinas), Interior Design Society (IDS), International Interior Design Association, Carolinas Chapter (IIDA) and National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA).

Unity in Design invites interior designers to share in three days of seminars, networking opportunities, accredited speakers, shopping and a trade show. The participating showrooms feature a broad selection of products found in manufacturer-owned showrooms comprising more than a million square feet of space. This segment brings together member showrooms and industry trade partners to expand product offerings including residential, contract and hospitality divisions. The trade show highlights important resources available to designers year-round.

The event concludes with a Keynote Panel discussion hosted by High Point University in Phillips Hall, Frances Auditorium. The panel this year consists of Crystal Gentilello, co-founder and editor in chief RUE magazine; Jason Phillips, VP of creative design at Phillips Collection; Wanda Horton, interior designer and High Point Market stylespotter; Tracy Bulla, product editor, Home Accents Today, and Powell Slaughter, editor, Home Furnishings Business.
