ATLANTA — On Friday, March 2, Saber Grills, LLC was awarded the 2012 Vesta Green Award for the brand's commitment to reducing the environmental impact of a gas grill. The new Saber infrared gas grills are designed to have a very efficient cooking system, using 50% less fuel in the cooking process than traditional gas grills, thereby significantly reducing energy consumption.
"This is significant recognition for Saber for two reasons: First, we worked hard to make sure our grills delivered on a promise of energy efficiency and meaningful innovation. It's rewarding to be acknowledged by a third party for that attention to detail," said Rob Schwing, general manager of Saber. "And second, this is the first time in the 12-year history of the Vesta Awards that a grill company has won the Green Award. That support from our industry is proof that we've created something that is unmatched in the marketplace."
Saber Grills are now finalists in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's "Clean Air Excellence Awards," which will be announced this summer. The Vesta Awards were created to recognize and honor companies for innovation in product design and/or technology. Only new products exhibited at the HPBExpo and created for sale in the year 2012 are eligible.
