Robert Allen contract introduces Sunbrella collection

NEW YORK — Taking advantage of new technology and a landmark moment in the contract textile industry, Robert Allen Contract, is bringing to market the first Sunbrella Contract collection.
This group of outdoor fabrics not only debuts Sunbrella's first Contract grade upholstery, but it also comes with serious sustainability kudos. Two patterns in the collection, Optima and St. Tropez, are the first to attain Silver level compliance with the NSF-ANSI 336 Sustainable Assessment Standard for Commercial Furnishing Fabrics, a new industry-accepted guideline developed by the Association of Contract Textiles (ACT) to provide common measurements and language for sustainability designations. Polo Beach, a balanced modern stripe, is available in five colors.
Boca Linda, a large-scale mirrored random stripe, is available in seven colors. Fiesta Key is a multi-colored fine stripe is available in eight colors.
Marco Island, a textured look, is a sophisticated strie weave that ties it all
together and is offered in eight colors. All of the above fabrics exceed 50,000 Double Rubs on the Wyzenbeek abrasion test.
Optima, a canvas heavy-duty solid, exceeds 30,000 Double Rubs on the Wyzenbeek abrasion test and attains Silver level compliance with the NSF-ANSI 336. This sustainable star comes in 20 colors.
St. Tropez twill solid, also exceeds 30,000 Double Rubs on the Wyzenbeek and
attains Silver level compliance with the NSF-ANSI 336. It is offered in 22 colors.
