IMAX adds ColorPost groups for High Point Market

Casual Living Staff -- Casual Living, 4/18/2012 3:11:01 PM

IMAX Worldwide Home is expanding its ColorPost with Connie program, designed to draw consumers into stores by providing small, fast and affordable decorating changes. Retail design strategist Connie Post teamed with IMAX to create the concept, which incorporates a selection of IMAX products into appealing color stories.

Three new color stories will be added for the April High Point Market: Sunshine (yellow), Berries (Purple) and Moody Blues color stories. Connie Post will be appearing in IMAX's High Point showroom (IHFC W-446) to promote the concept April 23 and 24, from 4-6 p.m.

"Each of the color stories has been chosen with an eye to what's selling at retail right now," Post said. "Merchandised on flexible, movable display units, the series of decorative accessory pods simplifies the buying process for consumers. The concept also mitigates consumers' fears of making costly decorating mistakes since each color story is chosen and color-coordinated for them by a design expert."
IMAX President Al Bulak said retailers need solution-based concepts and strategies to bring consumers into stores. "We also realize that no matter where we are in the economic cycle, consumers are more thoughtful about purchasing anything today," he said. "Our goal in partnering with Connie is to supply retailers with traffic-building retail design concepts that are designed to drive business now."

"Additionally," Post said, "The program was created to enable IMAX dealers to update their floors without the need for tearing down walls or major capital investments. It instantly adds an element of fashion and freshness to any retail format."
