NEW YORK —
The line is Eric Pfeiffer-designed and Perennial Wood-driven
At the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) May 19-22, Derek Chen's premium furniture brand, Council, will exhibit a new line of outdoor furniture by award-winning designer Eric Pfeiffer and made of a new material - Perennial Wood.
The collection includes a stacking chair and a lounge.Grown and produced in the USA, Perennial Wood provides aesthetic and performance characteristics new to the outdoor market. The new Council collection will be available this fall.
Manufactured by Eastman and introduced this spring, Perennial Wood is modified via a proprietary process that permanently transforms the wood's cell structure using heat, pressure and an organic compound. Perennial Wood resists damage from moisture and outdoor elements for decades, competing with hardwoods and rivaling teak in both beauty and performance.
