Jensen Leisure Furniture changes management

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Hlodver Olafsson has been appointed general manager of Jensen Leisure Furniture. The management change reflects the ownership transition to Grupo Roda USA, which owns the majority shares of the company and oversees all management.
In 2008, Grupo Roda USA and the Jensen Family Trust formed Jensen Leisure Furniture as a successor to Jensen Jarrah, which had been operating in the U.S. casual furniture industry for more than 17 years. The joint venture was formed with the understanding that Roda Grupo Roda USA would transition to full ownership in five years. That has been accomplished now.
The structure of the company remains unchanged and, according to Hlodver, the management will concentrate on expanding business by introducing new collections and increasing U.S. warehouse inventory levels. Jensen Leisure Furniture's focus will still be supplying top quality furniture with a priority in customer service.
"The potential of Jensen Leisure Furniture is extremely exciting, and I am proud to work with this dedicated team," said Janet Wansor, VP of sales and marketing.
At the September Casual Market, Jensen Leisure Furniture will host a private reception to commemorate Max and Kerry Jensen's contribution to the industry.
