FiberBuilt Umbrellas & Cushions promotes Jordan Beckner to president of sales

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - FiberBuilt Umbrellas & Cushions, manufacturer of high quality market, beach and contract umbrellas with distinctive flexible fiberglass ribs, announced today that Jordan Beckner has been appointed president of sales.

BecknerAs part of the adjustment and refining of duties, CEO Paul Knapp will concentrate his efforts on new product development and long-term strategic goals. Other promotions within the company include Hector R. Felix to COO and Dave Williams to CFO.

Beckner's broad ranging mandate will include overseeing sales and developing new markets for the corporation's three brands: FiberBuilt Umbrellas and Cushions, Paradise Cushions and Guy Harvey Outdoors. The promotion reflects Beckner's leadership and contributions to the success of the company and is a result of the continued expansion of the product lines within these divisions as well as the increase in activity across the board in hospitality, retail and online sales. This was a fitting time to seize the moment and make this move, according to the company announcement.

"Our day-to-day objective is to continue to grow on a fast track," Beckner said. "The economy is picking up and this is the perfect time to realign our internal responsibilities so we are all working from positions of strength. To achieve our sales projections we will be introducing several new products including large scale umbrellas and innovative cabana styles. We have completed the expansion of our outdoor cushion and pillow factory and our expert personnel are now able to produce more high quality goods than ever before. We will also be increasing the product offerings within Paradise Cushions to include a wide array of bed pillows."

Beckner is currently on the Board of Trustees for the AH&LA Educational Foundation, a member of the Allied Executive Committee of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association and co-chair of the Supplier's Council of the American Resort Development Association.
