Artist Jen Callahan adapts coastal art for C & F Enterprises

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Jen Callahan's collection of coastal pillows for C&F Enterprises depicts sea life in bright, impressionistic designs.Home décor and gift manufacturer C & F Enterprises has licensed artist Jen Callahan for a new coastal home accessories line to debut at markets this summer.

Callahan's designs for C & F include a line of four oversized decorative pillows on canvas with high resolution art transfer to maintain the integrity of the original artwork. The designs are bright, impressionistic paintings of sea life, with a whimsical nod to color. Great movement in her brushwork adds vibrancy and life to the creatures and moving landscape. The four pillow designs feature a sea turtle, 18 inches by 18 inches; jelly fish, 18 inches by 24 inches; heron, 18 inches x 24 inches; and blue crab, 18 inches by 18 inches. A coordinating turtle hooked accent rug, 2 feet by 3 feet, is also available in the collection.

Retail prices for the pieces range from $40 to $45.

Callahan is an award winning artist who enjoys mixing painting techniques among watercolor, liquid acrylics, oils and heavy base acrylics painted like oil. Her work focuses mainly on coastal sea life, inspired by her love of the sea and her home near the waters of Virginia.
