SALON at Suites at Market Square expanding for October High Point Market

Casual Living Staff -- Casual Living, 7/16/2012 2:39:35 PM

Since its launch in April 2010, SALON at Suites at Market Square has been gaining recognition as a must-see destination for new and innovative, higher-end design driven products at High Point Market. This juried showcase of fashion-forward furnishings across a wide range of styles and categories will be expanding for the upcoming High Point Market, which takes place Oct. 13-18.

"For the last few markets we have had a waiting list of companies that fit the profile for SALON, but we did not have enough space to accommodate all of them" said Julie Messner, VP of leasing for International Market Centers. "Clearly the demand was greater than our supply, so we have decided to expand SALON to feature more companies."

The expansion of SALON will be one floor above the current SALON display and will add an additional 8,000 square feet for a total of 33,000 square feet of exhibit space. The new exhibitors in this area will join a prestigious list of 44 companies already showing in SALON. Among the products featured in SALON are furniture, lighting, rugs, wall art, home textiles and decorative accessories.

The new area of SALON is most easily accessed by the escalator in the center of SALON, so buyers can easily shop both the Ground and Mezzanine floors in the Suites at Market Square and see all of the new products and companies featured.

"We had been approached by many companies that wanted to show in High Point but felt SALON was the best fit for them, and with this expansion we will have the ability to add more of these unique, higher-end companies for buyers to see when they arrive at the October Market," Messner said.

SALON is also home to the Market Square Café, offering a full Starbucks hot drink menu, as well as a variety of breakfast and lunch items.
