Sphinx to introduce six new collections at Las Vegas Market

Casual Living Staff -- Casual Living, 7/23/2012 9:58:09 AM

KasbahKasbahSphinx by Oriental Weavers will introduce six new collections and more than 100 new designs during Las Vegas Market, happening July 30-Aug. 3. A wide variety of new patterns, colorations, qualities and price points will be introduced, and most are already in stock or will be well before the fall selling season.

Bali is a new addition to Sphinx's indoor/outdoor line of area rugs. This collection is a machine-woven quality of easy-care polypropylene. The textural loop construction adds surface interest, but also adds the low maintenance properties of synthetic fiber. The colors consist of neutral ivory and cocoa with cool grays and blues and pops of bright gold. Suggested retail for a 5'3"x7'6" is $129.

Cambridge is a 1 million point construction offering depth and definition of pattern and a luxurious hand. Traditional motifs are updated in this collection, which offers a new take on traditional rugs in a fresh yet timeless color palette. Cambridge offers the consumer a combination of Old World styling and modern TessaTessasophistication. Machine woven of 100% polypropylene, a 5'3"x7'6" retails for $299.

The new Chloe collection is a unique collection of machine-made rugs which offer easy care and affordability. The romantic shades of blush, smoky orchid, slate blue and warm copper are reminiscent of an old world vintage look. These traditional and washed transitional pieces are machine woven in the U.S. of 100% heat-set polypropylene. A 5'3"x7'6" retails for $199.

Kasbah is a new collection of machine-made rugs made of space-dyed nylon. These rugs have colors of deep indigo blue and cool gray with bright pops of tangerine, mustard and clean ivory. Designs include abstract art looks, tiled motifs and modern tribal elements that come together to complete the global feel. Machine woven in the U.S. of 100% space-dyed nylon, a 5'3"x7'6" retails for $399.

Marrakesh is a machine-woven collection constructed with a high shag-like pile of dense, heavily textured yarns. The patterns are reminiscent of old world tribal craftsmanship in shades of earthy brown, hazy blue, sandy taupe and alabaster. The collection is machine woven of polypropylene with a suggested retail of $299 for the 5'3"x7'6" size.

The Tessa collection is a machine-made nylon that boasts a soft pile and hand carving. From sophisticated grays to bright tangerine the color options are endless for any design, with modern geometrics to artsy watercolor looks. Suggested retail is $299 for a 5'3"x7'6" size.

Sphinx will also extend its Emerson, Hudson and Revival collections. With Emerson's bold looks and colors to Hudson's diverse patterns and Revival's modern over-dyed vintage design, these rugs are machine-woven in the U.S. of 100% polypropylene with affordable retails between $199 and $229 for the 5'3"x7'6" size.

Sphinx by Oriental Weavers' showroom is located on the fifth floor of Building B in the World Market Center in space B-580.
