MaxLite establishes first U.S. assembly facility

Lighting innovator expands work force and capabilities

Casual Living Staff -- Casual Living, 7/26/2012 9:50:16 AM

WEST CALDWELL, N.J. - To create new jobs and invest in long-term growth, MaxLite established its first-ever U.S. assembly line and expanded its work force and capabilities, thus meeting the requirements of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

During the last 16 months, MaxLite, a global manufacturer and marketer of award-winning MaxLED luminaires and lamps, has created nearly three dozen new positions, including more than 20 located in its New Jersey headquarters.
"The assembly operation is the beginning of a new era for our company," said MaxLite President and CEO Yon W. Sung. "Based on the increased demand and a strong response to our latest LED fixtures and lamps, we are expanding our U.S. operations with a new assembly facility, supported by new capabilities and staff members."
MaxLite's assembly facility includes an initial 5,000 square feet for the assembly line in the New Jersey corporate headquarters. Within the initial lineup for assembly are state-of-the-art LED Flat Panels, featured in the FlatMax collection, with outdoor LED fixtures and linear fluorescent fixtures set to begin assembly soon. Global Operations Manager Zenny Haczyk oversees the assembly staff and works closely with quality control, shipping and other departments. More than a dozen new employees will be hired in the near future.
West Caldwell Mayor Joseph Tempesta Jr., Councilman Stanley W. Hladik and other distinguished guests joined MaxLite employees at a ribbon-cutting ceremony that celebrated the grand opening of its new product assembly line on July 13.
Inheriting global manufacturing and marketing expertise that dates back to 1955, MaxLite was one of the first movers into LED technology. Committed to energy efficiency as an ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year in 2009, MaxLite established the MaxLED brand, an extensive line of indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures featuring innovative LED luminaires and lamps using the latest state-of-the-art LED technology, ranging from the award-winning Flat Panel collection, to the best-selling outdoor lineup, Plug-and-Play light bars and lamps.
Out of the company's two main distribution centers, located in West Caldwell and Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., MaxLite ships products within the continental United States within one to three days on standard orders. Through MaxLite's innovative research and development capabilities in its California office, MaxLite continues to be at the forefront of energy efficient technologies.
