Art Thompson resigns from Carls Patio board

BLOWING ROCK, N.C. — Art Thompson, the retired president and CEO of manufacturer Lane Venture, says he has resigned from the board of Carls Patio, a Boca Raton, Fla.-based outdoor and casual furniture retailer.
Thompson was appointed to the board in January 2010.
He indicated that while he does not concur with the current direction of the company, he wishes Carls Patio all the best in the future. He said confidentiality agreements precluded his making further comments.
