Koverton moves to new location at Casual Market, debuts new lines

Koverton linearThe Linear CollectionKoverton, a manufacturer of contemporary outdoor furniture, will showcase new collections and designs in its new space, 8-7046, during the International Casual Furniture and Accessories Market Sept. 20-23 at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago.

The Linear Collection fuses clean lines and geometric elements to create a modern look. Two sizes of aluminum extrusion with a round profile were used to make each intersecting joint appear seamless and continuous, according to a company press release. The Linear deep seating pieces will have an optional modular open top canopy.

The Linear Collection will fully debut in spring 2013, and be offered in custom frames and cushions, locally finished in southern California.

Koverton ParkviewThe Tufted Parkview Knit CollectionKoverton has also added two new styles to its Parkview Knit Collection. The first look features traditional button tufting to the fabric panels that dress the side and rear profiles of the Parkview Knit chairs. Tufted Parkview Knit pieces are available in dining and deep seating options.

"We feel this is creative way to add distinctive features to our product, going beyond creating an outdoor slipcover," said Yan Wijaya, VP of sales and marketing. "We like giving our end customers additional ability/options to personalize their outdoor living room furniture."

"We enjoy integrating different components and materials in our design, and to our own amazement, are surprised by how impactful the new look is as result of adding a small component," said Kevin Ko, president.

The second style is Parkview Knit Graffiti, which incorporates street graffiti style with outdoor furnishing. In collaboration with New York graffiti artist George "Sen One" Morillo, the fabric panels are individually painted in the artist's signature style drawn from his childhood and experiences in art, music and dance in 1980s New York Upper West Side.
