Wolf-Gordon introduces indoor-outdoor upholstery textiles

NEW YORK — Wolf-Gordon, a design company specializing in wall covering, upholstery, drapery and paint, will unveil a new line of high-performance, environmentally conscious upholstery textiles this month.

The indoor-outdoor textiles include four additions to the company's Metropolitan Collection: Rush Hour, High Rise, Wander and Boutique. These textiles are the first fabrics to win the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Earth Minded Award, according to a press release.

"We've designed a short range of classics, from solid and small-scale textures, to larger scale geometrics, that not only enhance our Metropolitan offering, but respond exactly to what hospitality and healthcare designers need now," said Marybeth Shaw, chief creative officer.

Woven in the award-winning Bella-Dura construction, a proprietary olefin blend, these upholstery textiles are ideal for the most demanding commercial settings. Each item is solution-dyed, bleach cleanable, and packed with silver ion technology for antimicrobial protection. Rush Hour, High Rise, Wander and Boutique are suited to both indoor and outdoor applications as they withstand more than 1,500 hours of UV light and more than 50,000 double rubs on the Wyzenbeek test.

Wolf-Gordon Design Studio has designed and colored:

• Rush Hour, a complex, solid-colored weave offered in a generous 16 colorways;
• High Rise, a stripe with plaid intentions, that contributes tremendous pattern interest in 12 colorways;
• Wander, inspired by the medieval urban tissue of European cities, is a delightful pattern offered in 12 colorways; and,
• Boutique, a new, woven interpretation of a reptile skin in 12 different shades.

All four textiles are 100% recyclable and Cradle to Cradle Certified. They are finished with GreenShield technology.
