R.H. Peterson acquires Designs by Garry, Inc.

Expands high-quality outdoor living offerings

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. -- Robert H. Peterson Company, a leading manufacturer of premium gas grills and gas logs, has acquired exterior fire products company Designs by Garry, Inc. The acquisition reinforces the importance of the growing trend in outdoor living.
With its acquisition of DBG, Robert H. Peterson Company will offer an expanded line of high-quality, superior-design outdoor fire products to enhance the outdoor living space.
DBG specializes in the design and manufacturing of innovative, modular exterior fire-based products made from durable, lightweight cast concrete. The line includes exterior fireplaces, fire tables, fire urns, fire pits, fire walls and barbecue islands. The custom-designed barbecue islands can be modified to meet any space requirements and product specifications. All products in the line are available in six finish colors allowing the complete outdoor living space to feature complementary components.
DBG has been in operation for more than two decades and initially launched as a custom interior furniture and architectural detail company by owners Garry and Michele Lieser. Twelve years ago, Garry developed the idea of a lightweight exterior fireplace that can be easily assembled in any backyard. The units were built from an innovative, exceptionally strong type of concrete now known as Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete (GFRC).
GFRC derives its strength from a high dosage of alkali-resistant glass fiber and acrylic polymer that results in concrete that is flexible without cracking. The line has grown to include large and small fireplaces, fire tables, fire urns, fire pits and fire walls.
