The new partnership is targeting the North American contract furniture market in addition to Sequino's current customer base in Germany, Spain and Mexico.

Panichella will join product designer Mads Odgård, of Denmark, as a designer whose work is featured in Sequino's signature collection.

"We are very excited to have the opportunity to manufacture and market Chris' designs," said Emil Iskandar, managing partner of Sequino. "Chris has truly captured our mission to provide our customers with furniture products suitable for commercial and hospitality applications, while offering the style and comfort one would expect from his or her home furnishings."

Since 1998, Sequino has manufactured its own collection of contemporary indoor and outdoor furniture, as well as custom pieces for their customers. With factories in Indonesia, the company has access to artisans who skillfully handcraft the intricate furniture designs using natural and synthetic materials. In 2012, Sequino opened its U.S. office in Denver to better serve its growing list of North American customers.

"I'm thrilled to be collaborating with Sequino and to have the opportunity to reach their international audience," Panichella said. "Their expertise in mixed modern materials and traditional weaving techniques is inspiring."

Achella Design Studio represents the work of Christopher and Alyssa Panichella. After graduating from Rochester Institute of Technology, he in industrial design and she in graphic design and communication, they settled in Southern California. After several years working at separate firms, Achella Design Studio was formed in 2006. Specializing in product and graphic design consultation, with an emphasis on production furniture design, Chris has since been awarded several ADEX Design Excellence Awards as well as a Best of Neocon for his furniture designs.
