ART sponsors new High Point Market fundraiser

Casual Living Staff -- Casual Living, 10/2/2012 10:04:32 AM

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Creative home furnishings network ART (Accessories Resource Team), along with Residential Lighting/Home Fashion Forecast will present a new fundraiser, "Local ART - Artisans, Rhythm and Tastes," during the fall High Point Market.

The event will take place from 7-9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, in the market event space between IHFC and Showplace.

Local ART brings to the High Point Market audience a taste of what is current, hip and fresh from the growing community and creative culture of the North Carolina Piedmont area. Attendees will have their choice of artisan fare from regionally-based food trucks, regional music by Mipso and organically grown wine from Benjamin Vineyards and Winery.

Locally brewed beer from Natty Greene's will be available as part of the $10 donation fee. This donation allows ART to fund educational opportunities at markets across the country throughout the year.

"Our intent is to expose Market visitors to a full array of fresh and exciting offerings from this region, perhaps something they would have missed otherwise, all while networking with peers from every facet of the home industry," said Doug Self, of J. Douglas and chairman of ART's host committee. "This is a real benefit of ART, and our sponsors and the association are committed to community, industry education, sustainability and creativity. The event promises to be ongoing."
