The company's Elements collection, from the 2012 Richard Frinier Collection for Brown Jordan, received the Design Achievement award in the Summer/Casual category.

"The ASFD Pinnacle Awards are one of the most coveted awards in our industry and we are honored by this distinction," said Chris Carmicle, president of Brown Jordan. "I am very pleased that the jurors have recognized our continuing commitment to offer the best in timeless design for the retail home furnishings market."

The centerpiece of the Elements collection is a modular sectional that was created to bring thought to what can be achieved using the various elements of good design and stylish forms, according to a press release. Long, low lines create a dynamic profile, while integrated cushions invite lounging. Sectional components combine with a chaise, club chair, ottoman and a variety of tables to offer complete design flexibility.

In May 2012, Elements received recognition in the IIDA/HD Product Design competition at the annual Hospitality Design Expo, winning an IIDA Design Excellence Award in the Best of Show Outdoor category.

Created for interior and exterior settings, the Elements collection is comprised of lounge seating modules, chat, coffee and occasional tables; and dining furniture crafted in hand-woven Resinweave over a powder coated aluminum frame. The pieces can be arranged in a multitude of combinations.

Available in "Moca," a versatile modern neutral, Elements' Resinweave material has a distinctive mohair weave that creates textural interest and visual contrast with sleek aluminum frames in "Coco" and "Latte." Seating cushions and toss pillows are covered in Suncloth performance fabrics with a linen construction designed by Richard Frinier in shades of "Moca," "Cappuccino" and "Café au Lait."

"Brown Jordan's collaboration with designer Richard Frinier is longstanding and the co-branded Elements collection offers evidence of the creative richness of that partnership," said Stephen F. Elton, chief brand officer. "It is very rewarding to be recognized by the ASFD, an esteemed organization whose purpose is to celebrate design quality for products offered to consumers through retail stores. The Design Achievement award granted to the Elements collection draws attention to the diversity and innovation of our furniture products."
