Seminars by Genesis 3 to complement Pool | Spa | Patio Expo

DALLAS -- Pool, spa and backyard professionals attending the 2012 International Pool | Spa | Patio Expo will have the opportunity to attend a variety of networking and educational opportunities presented by the Genesis 3 Design Group, industry experts in watershape design and construction.

The show will be held Nov. 6-8 at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, with the educational conference taking place Nov. 2-8.

Covering the dynamic and diverse nature of the pool, spa and watershape design and construction industry, the Genesis 3 Design Group will present nine seminars as part of the Expo's core educational program.

On Tuesday, Nov. 6, classes include "Business 308: Attracting and Working with High-End Clients," "Construction 402: Best Practices of Cast-in-Place Concrete Construction as Designated by ACI" and "Design 175: Frank Lloyd Wright - American Architect: 1867-1959."

Held on Wednesday, Nov. 7, seminars include "Construction 171: Project Profiles - An Interactive Discussion on Design and Construction," "Design 181: Major Renovation of Pools - Design and Construction Considerations" and "Construction 308: Beauty of the Edge - the Definitive, Internationally Acclaimed Vanishing Edge and Water in Transit Design."

On the final day of the show, Thursday, Nov. 8, classes include "Construction 403: Best Practices for Shotcrete Construction as Designated by ASA and ACI," "Engineering 181: Major Renovation of Pools - Structural and Hydraulic Considerations" and "Design 161: Innovative Natural Watershape Design."

"These nine seminars offered by Genesis 3 are part of the Genesis 3 University classes and do require registration," said Brian Van Bower, president and co-founder of Genesis 3. "Attendees who want to see a real difference in their business success should register for a Super Pass or Day Pass before these classes sell out."

The Genesis 3 Lifestyle Program will feature networking and educational opportunities taking place from Tuesday to Thursday in booth #2841. Events on Tuesday, Nov. 6, include "Design 131: Identifying New Business & Design Trends," "Construction 205: Pool Tile: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly" and "Business 111: Genesis 3 Lifestyle Programs - Wine tasting with Gary Eberle," which is non-accredited.

Wednesday, Nov. 7 events include "Design 222: APLD: We Define Landscape Design around Water Features," "Design 223: APLD: We Define Landscape Design around your Patio" and "Construction 203: Pigment Technology."

Events on Thursday, Nov. 8 include "Engineering 121: Natural Swimming Pools - The Pool Reinvented - Plants Instead of Chemicals" and "Engineering 191: Building Efficient Equipment Pads."

"We revamped the Genesis 3 Lifestyle Program to offer even more educational opportunities to attendees," said Skip Phillips, VP and co-founder of Genesis 3. "Admission to the classes offered as part of the Lifestyle Program is included in all registration packages and will be a real benefit to attendees who want to grow their skills and knowledge."

In addition to the educational seminars, Genesis 3 will also feature two events on the show floor. The Genesis 3 Pavilion will feature hundreds of products and services targeting builders and designers. Participating exhibitors include AquaCal-AutoPilot, Aquron, BioNova Natural Pools, Bobe Water & Fire, Clearwater Tech, Flexcrete, Aquamatic Cover Systems, Riverflow, APLD, Aquafin, AQUA and WAVES magazines, among others.

Taking place in the Pavilion on Thursday, Nov. 8, is "Business 111: Lifestyle Programs - Book Signing with Anthony Archer-Wills." This non-accredited event will be held in the Genesis 3 booth #2937.

"Genesis 3 is the only educator in the watershape design and construction industry offering IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs)," Phillips said.

The 13th annual Genesis 3 Family Reunion & Winemaker Dinner on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Le Foret Restaurant is sold out.
