Woodstock Chimes expands its Habitats series

Casual Living Staff -- Casual Living, 11/8/2012 9:52:37 AM

Woodstock Chimes(Left to right): Woodstock Habitats Chimes in Dragonfly, Black; Butterfly Blossoms; Owl Portrait; and Butterfly, Bronze.SHOKAN, N.Y. -- Musically-tuned wind chimes manufacturer Woodstock Chimes is preparing to launch four new looks and seven designs in its Woodstock Habitats Chime series, which launched in 2004. With a range of price points and sizes, the new looks also vary by including the use of colors, like midnight black, radiant red, brilliant brass and bronze and stunning silver.

Adding contemporary flair to each design is a charming windcatcher, featuring a dragonfly, butterfly or owl, thus the Habitats name. All seven items will be on display Jan. 9-16 at the Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market and Jan. 20-27 at the New York International Gift Fair at the Javits Center.

"Given the popularity of our nature-inspired products, we really wanted to increase our offerings," said Garry Kvistad, founder and owner of Woodstock Chimes. "With owls, butterflies and dragonflies being on-trend, bringing our designs together with these elements seemed like a good match. We are highly anticipating their launch in the marketplace!"

The new designs include:

  • Woodstock Habitats Chime - Dragonfly, Black: The color black dominates this chime, as six black powder-coated tubes are suspended from a matching topper, crafted of black-finished ash wood. A black windcatcher boasts a nickel-plated, steel dragonfly ornament.
Also available: Butterfly, Black, with a nickel-plated, steel butterfly ornament.
  • Woodstock Habitats Chime - Butterfly Blossoms: This chime's six bronze rods shine brightly against its round, teak-finished ash wood topper and ball-shaped clapper. An antique, copper-plated windcatcher presents a finely detailed, wide-winged butterfly in a spring-like scene among nature and flowers.
  • Woodstock Habitats Chime - Owl Portrait: Similar to Butterfly Blossoms, this design features six bronze tubes, plus a square, teak-finished pine wood topper and ball-shaped clapper. The oval, antique, copper-plated windcatcher depicts an owl perched on a branch, in a portrait style.
  • Woodstock Habitats Chime - Butterfly, Bronze: From the largest set of the new debuts, this chime glows from top to bottom. It has five bronze tubes, tuned to "America the Beautiful," and a round, bubinga-finished ash wood topper, clapper and windcatcher. The chime's windcatcher plays host to an antique, brass-plated butterfly ornament.
Also available: Dragonfly, Bronze, with an antique, brass-plated dragonfly ornament, and Owl, Bronze, with an antique, brass-plated owl ornament.
