The HammockSource releases interactive catalogs for iPad

Casual Living Staff -- Casual Living, 11/9/2012 4:27:15 PM

HammockSourceGREENVILLE, N.C. -- Hammock manufacturer The HammockSource has released the 2013 catalogs for its two largest brands as individual interactive iPad apps, the company announced.

Hatteras Hammocks and The Original Pawleys Island Rope Hammock dealers can download these free apps through iTunes to flip through both brands with the brush of a finger.

"These catalog apps make it so simple to browse up-to-the minute information, including pricing, on whole lines of Hatteras and Pawleys products," said Reid Roney, HammockSource VP of sales.

Both interactive, easy-to-navigate catalogs offer immediate insights into product features not attainable with a conventional print catalog, the company said. Text cues and readily recognizable icons allow users to instantly uncover additional content, from intensive product details to lifestyle photos and 360-degree picture packages.

"Our goal is for our dealers to enjoy the convenience and functionality of a traditional print catalog, but now with the added ease and interactivity of an exceptional 21st century technology," Roney said. "We've always been industry innovators, and leaders in incorporating new technologies. These interactive catalogs extend Hatteras and Pawleys Island's leadership roles into exciting new avenues for assisting our invaluable dealers."

The two interactive catalogs have been an immediate success, Roney said.

"Since we made them available, we've seen a notable increase in special orders from our stocking dealers," he said.

Physical catalogs are still readily available to those dealers who prefer the traditional presentation, while The HammockSource also offers PDF versions of both catalogs for easy download to dealers who are not iPad-ready.
