Surya to unveil new Atlanta showroom during winter market

CALHOUN, Ga. -- Area rugs and home accessories manufacturer Surya announced it will move to an expansive new 13,500-sq.-ft. showroom in Atlanta's Americasmart complex. Located at 11-A-1, the new showroom will double the brand's square footage at the rug and home accessories market.

The new space will open its doors in time for the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market, to be held Jan. 9-16.

"We're excited about this expansion. The larger space on the home accessory geared 11th floor will allow us to showcase a complete range of Surya's lifestyle products in a more convenient location," said Satya Tiwari, Surya president.

The company is on an aggressive growth track to expand its reach over the next five years, according to a press release. The Atlanta move follows Surya's spring 2012 move into a new 26,000-sq.-ft. High Point flagship location at Showplace 4100, as well as expansion into smaller regional shows such as the Tupelo Furniture Market. Surya's product breadth has also evolved in recent years with the addition of pillows, throws, poufs and wall art to coordinate with the brand's expansive line of area rugs.
