Poly-Wood expands Trex Outdoor Furniture line, revamps website

Casual Living Staff -- Casual Living, 2/18/2013 4:04:03 PM

Poly-WoodThe Surf City CollectionSYRACUSE, Ind. -- Poly-Wood, Inc., manufacturer and distributor of Trex Outdoor Furniture, has announced the expansion of the sustainable casual furniture brand with the addition of a new contemporary furniture collection and the launch of a redesigned website. Crafted from the company's signature recycled lumber, the new Surf City collection will offer contemporary styling with a mixed lumber and metal design.

Focusing on the trade marketplace, the website redesign will further promote the Trex brand to the outdoor living category and include product information and dealer inquiry functions.

"As the leader in recycled plastic lumber outdoor furniture, Poly-Wood is proud of its association with the Trex brand," said Doug Rassi, president of Poly-Wood. "With the expansion of the line and updates to our marketing tools, we are able to further enhance the brand's position across the outdoor segment. Our focus in the website redesign is on continuing to build awareness for the Trex story while illustrating the many unique product features as well as a depth of styles and collections in the line."

Since 2010, Poly-Wood has been the manufacturer and distributor of Trex Outdoor Furniture and has established retail partnerships nationwide for the brand across specialty outdoor and furnishing retailers. Manufactured in the USA, the earth-friendly furniture is constructed of solid recycled lumber made from more than 90% recycled content including such post-consumer materials as plastic milk jugs and laundry detergent bottles.

With the addition of the new Surf City Collection, the Trex Outdoor Furniture line has grown to include five collections including the Cape Cod, Yacht Club, Rockport and the Monterey Bay.

"The new Surf City delivers sophistication with a contemporary flair through the combination of aluminum frames and our durable HDPE lumber slats," Rassi said. "The collection includes seating and dining units and rounds out the total Trex Outdoor Furniture offering that also includes traditional, folding and cushioned furniture options."

The website redesign was a collaborative effort by Syracuse, Ind.-based marketing firm The Image Group and Poly-Wood's internal IT division. The site will now function to provide retailers and their consumers with detailed product and brand information, warranty, FAQ and a dealer locator.

"Poly-Wood is committed to building upon the Trex association and this digital redesign is a part of our overall marketing plan to create a dynamic sales and information platform," said Doug Hertel, marketing division manager of Poly-Wood.
