Merchandise Mart to host second Spring Fling in March

CHICAGO - Chicago area design trade professionals are invited to attend the Merchandise Mart's second Spring Fling on Thursday, March 14.
The day-long event will feature a presentation by Traditional Home magazine and showroom open houses to view the latest products and trends in outdoor furnishings and accessories from the Design Center at the Merchandise Mart's outdoor showrooms. Attendees can also enter for a chance to win an iPad by visiting all participating showroom open houses.
Attendees including designers, landscape architects/designers and hospitality specifiers will be among the first to see the newly dedicated casual industry within the Design Center at the Merchandise Mart located on the 15th and 16th floors.
The Design Center at the Merchandise Mart recently completed its renovation, which now features a more concentrated, easily navigable showcase of the top brands in casual design by dedicating two floors to its premium outdoor furnishings tenants. The casual showroom showcase is home to more than 45 showrooms that specialize in high-end outdoor furnishings.
The day's events include:
10-11 a.m. - Pushing the Boundaries: Trends in Outdoor Living from Basic to Luxe. Presented by Amy Elbert, senior architecture editor at Traditional Home magazine. Lounge 1447, 14th floor
11 a.m.-3 p.m. - Showroom open houses. Casual/outdoor showrooms on floors 15, 16 and select showrooms on 14. Participating companies include:
