Twitter Chat on High Point Market intros set for March 20

HIGH POINT, N.C. - The High Point Market (@hpmarketnews) and Decor Mentor (@decormentor), a collaborative online community, will co-host Twitter Chat at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, to showcase new products for the spring furniture market.

The chat is open to everyone on Twitter, and will offer inside information and special previews for the April 20-25 High Point Market, according to the organizers.

Market exhibitors may submit photos of their April intros to editorial@highpointmarket.org by 5 p.m. Eastern time Thursday, March 15. Decor Mentor ambassadors will curate a collection of their top picks and announce the selections on Twitter using the official High Point Market hashtag #hpmkt. Submissions are limited to two photos per company.

All product photos submitted for the chat will be featured on a Sneak Peek pinboard on the High Point Market's Pinterest page. The Decor Mentor curated selections will also be posted to a Pinterest board, and a link to all of the Pinterest boards will be posted on Twitter throughout the chat.

"We had an amazing number of people log in to our last two Twitter chats," said Cheminne Taylor-Smith, High Point Market Authority vice president of marketing. "In fact, we had such an overwhelming response last fall that we almost took down Twitter. This is a fast-paced event, and the addition of the Pinterest boards allows people to take more time with each of the product photos. This is one of the earliest and most exciting ways to see the newest trends and products before the April Market."
