Designers can build a personalized palette from a large range of color swatches in a variety of tones and saturations, or upload a photo from which the tool suggests a selection of colors to include in their palette.NEW YORK - The Robert Allen Design Group is launching a new Color Search tool on its website,
The Color Search then returns accurate product recommendations from Robert Allen's extensive catalog of fabric and trim based on the custom palette. This intuitive approach to color search puts the designer in control of Robert Allen's broad range of colors, "allowing them to find their perfect fabric and trim with ease and enjoyment," according to a press release. This website feature is powered by ColorLogic, Robert Allen's proprietary color organization system.
"At Robert Allen, our design focus is always color, and our business focus is always serving our designer clientele," said Philip H. Kowalczyk, Robert Allen Design Group CEO. "The Color Search tool will increase the ability of the designer to get to the specific colors they are looking for. It shows them that not only do we have an unparalleled range of color, but we have the color and pattern they want."
Robert Allen's digital team created the technology to power the new Color Search "with optimum user experience and accurate color matching in mind," the release states. This technology scans quickly and precisely through the full range of Robert Allen colors with color matching capabilities and tonal coordination.
In scenario one, a user creates his or her palette from a range of Robert Allen colors. Up to five hues may be chosen, and coordinating fabrics and trims are then pulled in the selected shades. Standard solids and bolder statement options are shown to give the user full access to the breadth of Robert Allen's coordinating textiles.
In scenario two, a user-uploaded photo guides the palette and coordinating colors. Users may then zoom in further to build a more specific palette. Driven by technology, the tool then finds the most accurate matches and coordinating fabrics for the palette selected from the colors in the photo. With both of these options, users are able to easily sort and filter through the results and save their palettes in My Studio for future reference.
The new Color Search tool is available here.
