Lynx acquires CabanaKitchens

Staff -- Casual Living, 5/1/2005

Lynx Grills, manufacturer of stainless steel outdoor kitchen products, has acquired CabanaKitchens, Inc., manufacturer of high-end outdoor grills with an integrated gas oven and broiler.

Incorporated in 1999, CabanaKitchens offers an integrated freestanding or slide-in cooking center with heavy-duty stainless steel construction and a high-performance grilling surface, side burners, oven, broiler, rotisserie, warming rack, storage and more.

CabanaKitchens will become a new division under Lynx and plans to expand the line of integrated outdoor kitchens under the Cabana brand name. In addition, Lynx will increase marketing efforts behind the Cabana brand and will also offer new accessories to complement the line.

CabanaKitchens will continue to sell through its current channels. Clyde Williams, the former owner of Cabana-Kitchens, Inc. will join the Lynx team and will continue actively supporting CabanaKitchens nationally.

"One of the common suggestions by our dealers is to offer additional products," Williams said. "By joining the Lynx family, we are now in an excellent position to offer more options and broaden our line of the finest high-end outdoor kitchen products."

"For those who want to prepare their entire meal outdoors, CabanaKitchens lets you grill, bake and sauté with a single product," Lynx President Mike Edwards said. "I have admired Cabana Kitchens' ingenuity for bringing all of these functions to one product."
