Klaus Ebel, former president of Ebel Inc., has left the Jacksonville, Fla.-based manufacturer to pursue other interests. No replacement has been named and operations remain unchanged, according to an announcement by Anne Ebel.

Martin Weissburg, Woodard's current executive vice president and chief operating officer, has been named president. Mel Cohen, Woodard's previous president, will return to Woodard's holding company, CC Industries, and will remain as a member of Woodard's board.

ScanCom International named Jay Weber as its national sales manager. Weber brings more than 18 years of experience in the industry.

Tropitone Furniture named a two-person sales team to the South Florida retail market. Ed Brookes and Frank Verna will begin their new assignments in Florida this month. Brookes will focus primarily on the southeast coast of the territory and Verna will focus on the southwest coast. The two replace Barry Wax, a Tropitone sales representative in Florida for 25 years, who also serves on the board of the Casual Furniture Retailers as liaison to casual furniture sales representatives.

TEC Infrared Gas Grills named Benji Berry its Southeast regional sales manager. Berry, who has been with TEC for more than six years, will be in charge of TEC consumer accounts in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. TEC also named Wylene Troutman as customer service manager.

igarden, with offices and warehousing in Greensboro, N.C., has added eight sales representatives to its sales force. They are: Maggie Cardena in Mexico and Latin America; Chuck McGern, an associate with Chuck Kent, in Illinois and Wisconsin; Ed and Barbara Miller in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Western Pennsylvania; Lew Remington, Maritime Provinces; Marvin Schulman, South Florida and the Caribbean; David Squire, Southern California; Debra Tuterbaugh, Northern California, and Michael Whitson in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.

Homecrest has named Rob Quello Sales Representative for 2003–2004. His territory includes Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia.

Rodd Zeitler was named director of Leader's Casual Furniture's 15-showroom retail sales division. Zeitler is in charge of recruiting, hiring, training and motivation for Leader's 50-plus sales force.

At the Lloyd/Flanders awards banquet in Chicago, Treasure Island received the 2004 Presidents Club award, based on store representation of Lloyd/Flanders including displays, product assortment, advertising and sales promotions. Bryan Echols was presented with the Don Flanders sales award, which recognizes outstanding service and performance by a sales rep.
