Tyndall to debut product at premarket, announces new South American factory relationships

Staff -- Casual Living, 7/1/2005

Tyndall Creek Furniture, a Wilmington, N.C.-based manufacturer and distributor of outdoor furniture, will debut two bar-height swivel stool styles at its July 13–15 Casual Premarket.

The swiveling stools, designed to complement Tyndall's selection of high-dining tables, were developed in response to requests of Tyndall's dealers at last September's Casual Market.

"High-dining is a concept that is definitely upon us," said David Witmer, vice president of sales. "Tall stools that do not swivel can be difficult to get in and out of. Adding the swivel adds a lot of form and function to our already successful Aberdeen and Sullivan bar stools."

Tyndall Creek designer Philip Behrens created both stool designs. They are made of solid Brazilian cherry or Bolivian cherry with an oil finish and will retail for about $349.

In related news, Tyndall has solidified two significant factory relationships in South America, and will begin receiving shipments from these factories in August. Both factories currently produce outdoor wood furniture for the European market and have been brought on board to augment Tyndall's source of supply for quality outdoor products.

"We were unable to meet the demand for our products in '05," Tyndall President Bob Bethel said. "We have been working hard to correct this by developing some good new resources for product. We now have an additional factory in Bolivia, and are also returning to Brazil where were have always had great success. We are more than ready to go for '06."
