New designers will address trends and color directions

-- Casual Living, 7/16/2008 9:16:00 AM

Phifer Incorporated has hired Jeanette Gorman and Stacey Hamner as its new textile designers.

Gorman brings more than 22 years of experience in the upholstery textile industry and holds a bachelor of fine arts degree in textile design from the Rhode Island School of Design. Hamner comes to Phifer from the apparel industry. She received a bachelor’s degree in apparel and textiles from the University of Alabama.

“I am very excited to add these two talented artists to our design team,” said Carol Harkey, Phifer’s vice president of design. “Jenny and Stacey will address trends and color directions while meeting with customers on a regular basis to better understand their respective markets.”
