Sealaska Natural Living launches eco-friendly fashion at Casual Market

-- Casual Living, 8/26/2008 8:35:00 AM

Sealaska Natural Living will launch its tropical and plantation hardwood product collections at the Chicago Casual Market in booth 7-7054.

SNL is an outdoor furnishings manufacturer representative/importer that supplies high-quality sustainable products internationally. The group prides itself on the product variety it offers retailers, creating the opportunity for consumers to define their outdoor environments through personal style.

SNL will introduce two flagship collections to the North American market, Natural Exotics and Natural Elements. The Natural Elements furniture collection is manufactured in Brazil by locally owned and operated Tramontina using jatoba (Brazilian cherry) and cumaru tropical hardwoods, both 100 % FSC certified. The collection includes a full range of products from conversation sets to occasional pieces and a line of mixed material products featuring French batyline mesh.

Natural Elements’ designers hail from Italy and use chic European design elements. Through an exclusive agreement, SNL will be the only company to sell Tramontina’s hardwood outdoor furniture products in the United States.

“We are excited to be the exclusive marketer of Tramontina’s products in the U.S,” said Nicole Tillotson, SNL program leader. “The sleek design and natural beauty of their products as well as the company’s extraordinary environmental practices make Tramontia an ideal partner for a values-driven company such as Sealaska, and both companies look forward to a long, successful relationship”

The Natural Exotics furniture collection is manufactured in Vietnam using two species of eucalyptus originating from FSC certified plantations in South Africa. The collection includes contemporary design using exotic wood species at affordable consumer prices. Natural Exotics offers a range of products from full dining sets to compact loungers perfect for small living spaces and is available through SNL in both the American and European markets. Through strategic and exclusive long-term partnerships, SNL can control and manage the raw material supply from log to finished product.

Sealaska Natural Living is a brand of Sealaska Wood Products Solutions, a specialty wood products company based in Yuba City, Calif. SWPS is an Alaska Native company owned by more than 20,000 tribal member shareholders of Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian descent.
