Marc Olivié has been named president and CEO of W.C. Bradley Co., the Columbus, Ga.-based multi-brand supplier of home and leisure lifestyle brands such as Char-Broil; W.C. Bradley Co. Real Estate; Lamplight Farms; Zebco Brands and the PGA Tour Stop.
Olivié will take the place of current CEO and Chairman Steve Butler, who will remain chairman of the board of directors, and current President Brad Turner, who is retiring from the company after 24 years. Turner will remain an active member of the board of directors. The change is effective Nov. 3. In October 2007, the company had announced it would select a new CEO.
Olivié has served as president of Sara Lee Champion Europe, in Florence, Italy; president and CEO of Armstrong Building Products; president and CEO, Armstrong Flooring in Lancaster, Pa.; president, Global Bath and Kitchen, American Standard Companies, Inc., Piscataway, N.J.; and CEO and president, Agfa-Gevaert Group, Mortsel, Belgium. Additionally, he worked as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company for seven years. Olivié is currently a member of the board of directors of MasterCard Worldwide based in Purchase, N.Y.
"With the depth and breadth of his global experience, Marc Olivié brings to our company proven capability for growing value for our ownership and providing opportunity for our team members,” Butler said. “We are confident that he shares our values, and will be the kind of leader worthy of the trust of all our stakeholders. With his addition to the great management leadership currently in place, we will have the best team on the field to develop and execute a strategic vision and plan for the future.”
Butler added his heartfelt thanks for Turner’s leadership and vision. “He has been a true role model and servant leader for our company,” Butler said. “Brad and I deeply appreciate everyone’s support during this transition, and we are very excited about the future of the W.C. Bradley Co. under the leadership of Marc Olivié.”
