Top outdoor furniture big box retailers

Casual Living's exclusive Top 5 big box retailers garnered a combined $1.65 billion in outdoor furniture sales last year, an increase of 2.3% from $1.61 billion in 2006. The Top 5 sold outdoor furniture through 9,869 stores in 2007, up a net 405 doors from 2006.
Wal-Mart kept its No. 1 ranking, pulling in $640 million in 2007 outdoor furniture sales. Wal-Mart is ahead of Home Depot, the No. 2 big box retailer, by a whopping $295 million.
No. 2 Home Depot sold $345 million in outdoor furniture last year, the same as in 2006, and experienced a difficult year all around. The home improvement center saw total sales decrease 2.1%, while comp store sales decreased 6.7%. Home Depot leads No. 3 Lowe's by only $17 million in outdoor furniture sales. The difference between the two was $20 million in 2006.
