Woolrich Launches Digital Catalog

Adds convenience for retailers

-- Casual Living, 11/18/2009 8:22:00 AM

Woolrich, est. 1830, is embracing today’s technology by launching a digital catalog to make it more convenient and easier for retailers to do business with its home furnishings partners.

A comprehensive digital catalog, which can be accessed at www.woolrichhome.com/catalog, features the entire Woolrich Home Furnishings line with all the products from each of its licensees in one convenient place. Hundreds of products are a simple mouse click away, complete with product and contact information and images.

Easy navigation, as well as a search feature, will enable viewers to quickly find a specific product or view the entire lifestyle brand by category — including outdoor furniture from Whitecraft indoor and outdoor lighting from Shady Lady, bedroom, dining and living room furniture from Shadow Mountain, area rugs from Mohawk Home, bath accessories from Blonder Home Accents, wall decor from Picture Source and bedding ensembles from Berry Creek Home Collection. Products from new licensees Rowe Pottery Works and Lynn Haney Collection will be added in early 2010 after the lines’ official debuts at the January Atlanta Gift & Home Furnishings Market.

Features of the online digital catalog include a “share” button which allows each Brand Partner to forward it to their sales reps and retailers, a quick and easy thumbnails view, a PDF maker for those who want to print it or save it to CD, a notes page and more.

“Each of our licensees has their own distribution channels and sales forces,” said Sharon Kepley, licensing manager of home furnishings. “Because of this it has been challenging for retailers to see the broad assortment of the Woolrich Home Furnishings brand. With this online format we can easily show them everything and that makes cross-selling of the brand to retailers much easier. The Woolrich consumer embraces a distinctive nature-inspired look for their homes. When retailers display multiple product categories in a lifestyle setting for consumers to see, the greater the chance is for increasing the total sale.”

Kepley also pointed out, “The digital catalog is not only less cumbersome than a binder that quickly goes out of date, it is also is more eco-friendly and cost effective.”
