Martin F. Armstrong, vice president of global sales at KitchenAid, has been elected to the board of directors of the International Housewares Association. Armstrong’s term begins immediately and ends Sept. 30, 2009.
Armstrong joined KitchenAid, in 1991. He is responsible for sales and trade marketing for the company’s portable appliance division. KitchenAid, which also licenses kitchen tools, cookware and bakeware, is a division of Whirlpool Corp. Armstrong began his career in the housewares industry in 1987 with Rubbermaid. Prior to that, he worked for Lever Brothers from 1985-87.
