Lance Armstrong's Texas Home Outdoor Room

The cover of Architectural Digest’s July issue has a photo of Lance Armstrong’s pool cabana at his home in Austin, Texas, which combines comfortable David Sutherland chairs & a deep seated sofa with Perennial fabric. A Janus et Cie chaise and table complete the setting and are surrounded by gothic style lanterns. Each archway that leads into the cabana is softened by the use of outdoor drapes. Whether you are outside looking in the cabana or inside looking out you feel the warmth that the drapes bring to this space.

The view of the cypress lined walkway is breathtaking and calls to visitors to take a stroll. Lance Armstrong created a home that is comfortable and sophisticated. He wanted a home to live in and enjoy with his family…a space where kids can run and roll in the grass.
Outdoor living is a major trend. Consumers are creating sophisticated environments in their backyard and patio. Rather than move it is becoming increasingly popular to upgrade homes. Baby Boomers are leading this trend by building outdoor kitchens and extending the family and living areas with seamless transitions from the interior of the home to the exterior living space.
The use of outdoor furniture fabrics in gorgeous colors and textures that coordinate with inside furniture by mixing and matching solids with patterned designs and textures is a growing trend. The addition of accent pillows, throws and drapes are the finishing touches that complete the outdoor living space.
Whether your customer is as well known as Lance Armstrong or a neighbor or a friend help them create the seamless transition from the inside of their home to their new outdoor space by providing them with selections of fabrics and trims for accent pillows, drapes and furniture that is stylish and will help them create the look and feel that is just right for them.
