A Casual Cause

As Thanksgiving and Christmas near, it’s important to not only remember what we’re thankful for, but how we can help those who are less fortunate. There’s a lot to be done in the world – from helping hurricane victims to feeding and housing those in poverty – and the casual industry has been hard at work this year.

To showcase all of the great projects members of our industry have undertaken, we’ve started the A Casual Cause series, which highlights some of the important causes our industry is helping out with this year.
  • More Than Money: Kodama Zomes calm kids with sensory conditions

    While many companies choose to help charities by donating time or money, few are able to donate products that help with specific medical conditions. Enter Kodama. The company creates hanging lounge chairs called Zomes—a combination of the word "zonohedra" (a 3-D shape where every face is a polygon with point symmetry) and the word "dome." Kodama partners with several schools and organizations dedicated to children with autism and sensory processing disorder (SPD).
