TIM RUSSERT & FAMILY VALUES!
This week the nation mourned and celebrated the life of Tim Russert who passed away so unexpectedly at a very young age. What I found so heartwarming was the outpouring of warm sentiments from people all across this wonderful nation. Tim represented wholesome, family, small town, Americana.
An event like this makes me stop and consider all of the wonderful things in my life that I am thankful for - beginning with my family and friends. An event like this makes me want to take time to enjoy life with the most important people in my life and what better place to do this but at home.
Spending time with family and friends in our homes this time of the year can be enjoyed most in the open air, under the great blue sky in our outdoor living space. Take time to enjoy the simple things in life, the clouds, the bright blue sky, the sound of birds, the smell of flowers, plants, the humming of bees, and most importantly the people that you love.
Slow down, leave the stress inside, breathe deep and live.
My thoughts and prayers are with everyone in this wonderful nation of ours who wish Tim’s family our deepest condolences… Marcia

he was forced to put crtiaen reporters sent to cover Mr. Obama through a rehab program after they returned to the office. Back in January, NBC News anchor Brian Williams noted that Lee Cowan, the reporter NBC had sent to cover Mr. Obama, had told him that it is hard to stay objective covering this guy. Some media reevaluations of Mr. Obama are now taking place, fueled in part by revelations such as the Rev. Jeremiah Wright that are hard to ignore. But the simple truth is that Mr. Obama has had a free media ride for so long that he effectively wrapped up the Democratic nomination before any of his political weaknesses were generally known. As Hillary Clinton wrestles with a way to continue her underdog fight against Mr. Obama, she is said to be seething about the kid-glove coverage he was accorded for so long. What she forgets is that back in 1992, when Bill Clinton and she were the new kids on the political block, they too benefited from glowing coverage that pushed off close analysis of their many problems until after 1992 election was over.
