Outdoor Table Settings for Fall

October 22, 2009

As the Fall Season progresses it is time to decorate your outdoor tables in autumn style.      This is the best time to use fruit, vegetables and outdoor plants on your table setting to create a rustic and lovely outdoor setting.

Drape a few different color table cloths over the table, baskets filled with autumn colored fruit, such as apples and lemons, add a touch of color. Wheat stalks and fresh baked baguettes will add height to a centerpiece.

A bottle of wine and a sparkling pitcher of ice cold water will tempt your taste buds. For some fragrant additions, tie some cinnamon sticks with raffia, or rosemary with ribbon then scatter them on the table. Old mason jars are a great place to store homemade jams, or to use for drinking the water.

Use your imagination, take a walk through your garden or the local woods to find natural items that you can use to create an inexpensive fall centerpiece. Look around your home as well to find colorful napkins, ribbon and cloth to accent the table. Mixing and matching is easy and fun. Your guests will think that you spent a lot of time and money when you simply take the time to explore your natural resources.

Outdoor entertaining does not have to cost a lot if you use your imagination and inspiration.
