Warm up the Holidays Outdoors
The weather is turning colder across the nation, even in Southern California the evening and early morning temps are dipping into the 40’s. The days are shorter and the sky is dark earlier than usual, it is a great time to view the moon and stars, as well as, the outdoor seasonal lights. Most people would refrain from sitting outdoors for long, unless they have a patio heater, fire pit or fireplace to congregate near. This is an opportunity for the casual living dealer to take advantage of this time of year.
This is the season to promote outdoor heaters, fire pits and fireplaces. Sitting around a fire with family and friends during the holiday season is a cherished time for all. Although it is cold outside, most of the time it is uncomfortably warm inside due to the clothes that we wear and the heat that we pump in the stores and our homes. Most people would love to take advantage of staying warm by a fire while enjoying the outdoor fresh air.
You can offer gas logs, real logs, stone and glass to be used in these fireplaces and firepits. Patio heaters that are free standing and moveable or secured overhead are another ideal product to offer during the colder seasons.
Continuing to extend our lifestyle outdoors in winter is a new concept that we need to explore and present to our clients and customers. It wasn’t long ago that the outdoor room concept was new and unusual, so selling outdoor living in the winter should not be an outrageous idea. Instead we should continue to inspire and ignite these thoughts with our customers to encourage and promote outdoor living year round.
