How to Add the Hot & Trendy Color for Fall 2008

Natural autumn color is hot for this Fall season as Janey Yang notes in the New York (RUSHPRNEWS) "The color Orange continues its stellar run as a fixture for home décor color in 2008; and the leader in Color forecasting, Pantone, projects that the Orange color trend will continue on to 2009. It’s no surprise why, Orange is a warm, inviting, dynamic, invigorating and energetic color."                                                

This fall will be a season of change in many ways. Fall ’08 is defined by rich and elegant hues. New York’s fashion designers will emphasize collections of cooler blues, greens and purple, followed by variations of warm red, orange and yellow.

"Fall is traditionally a time for subdued, quiet colors, but this season we are seeing a shift toward cool hues with bright, exciting undertones," said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. "Conventional tones such as warm autumn hues, chocolate browns and steel grays are also among the fall color choices. Blue and purple tones have become staples, as illustrated by Blue Iris, one of the top 10 colors chosen by designers this season, and Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2008." New York Fashion Week, 2008   

If you want your showroom to have the most up to date colors in fashion, then my suggestion is to invest in accessories for your vignette displays that incorporate these colors. This will make your showroom look fresh and new for fall without a complete overhall. Throw a couple of colorful pillows on a natural color sofa or club chair, add colorful candles and decorative dishes or glassware in the hottest colors for fall, then take a step back and you will see that you have created a colorful yet saleable collection on your showroom floor with existing merchandise.
