Brown Jordan Partner's with Dealers

Just in time for spring, one of the Casual Living manufacturers, Brown Jordan, has authorized an unprecedented factory sale of 20% off on all BJ collections. During these unique and difficult economic times Brown Jordan has stepped up the the plate to offer their dealers assistance and a way to attract new and existing consumers.
Many dealers are taking advantage of this promotion and advertising it to their consumer base. Outdoor Elegance in Southern California, Today’s Pool & Patio in Scottsdale, Arizona, Willis Furniture in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Bradley Fair in Wichita, Kansas, and Penn Furniture in Scranton, Pennsylvania have all partnered with Brown Jordan to promote this factory sale.
What better way to attract customers as the spring season kicks off than to creatively work together to offer the very best possible deal.
Manufacturers should be thinking outside the box and coming up with new ideas on how to generate and promote sales in the casual furniture industry. We are all in this together so working together makes perfect sense. This is a very effective form of co-branding.
Kudos to Brown Jordan for taking the initiative.
These are my outside views…write and tell me of other manufacturers who are also partnering with dealers to promote new sales this spring? Marcia Blake

In 1982 I purchased a beautiful contemporary Brown Jordan outdoor set. It is still in use today.
I purchased about $7,000 worth of their Eastlake collection (wicker look) about 7 years ago because I wanted a cozier look and had good experience with their quality.
I have one chair where the hand woven resin that joined the back to the bottom disintegrated, just tore apart. I called the place where I purchased it. Unless I had the receipts they could not help me (lost them in a recent move) and referred me to a place that could not help. Tried 4 other places. I called Brown Jordan's customer service (first call to them). They referred me to the same place and then told me to check my yellow pages but that they could not help me otherwise. I finally found an expert upholstery place (30 years experience). Sent him photos. He conferred with 4 other upholstery experts and told me it was defective, probably the chemical composition didn't bind correctly and it would be too expensive to fix. Called Brown Jordan back (call #2) and she told me to send a photo. She responded back saying the furniture was made by hand in Indonesia, it only had a 3 year warranty and they could not fix it, period. Then she had the nerve to say "thank you for being a loyal Brown Jordan customer and if I had any questions to let her know!!!" They have given me no avenue for repair of this furniture and have left me high and dry.
Why should I pay a premium for what is advertised to be "quality" furniture if the manufacturer won't stand behind something that has been diagnosed by an expert as defective???
I'll certainly never purchase Brown Jordan again. They have lost a loyal customer.
