Take The Party Outside
Each of us fall into one of two categories this time of the year. Either you take down your holiday decorations right after Christmas or you wait until after New Years. After all the presents are unwrapped and put in their place, I choose to bring my house back to normal by putting away all of our holiday trimmings until next year, but I do bring out new and different accessories for a New Years Eve celebration.
The arrival of the New Year is celebrated all over the world, this special event symbolizes a new beginning, one we are all looking forward to for 2010. Decorating with bells to "ring" in the new year is an appropriate symbol. Many cities will light fireworks at the stroke of midnight, so consider a few simple additions to your outdoor room to welcome in the new year. Sparklers and bells add that touch of glitter and glam to represent the festive holiday.
Turn up the firepit or fireplace, gather your family and friends around and raise your glasses to toast the New Year. Turn on the outdoor television and watch Times Square erupt at the stroke of midnight. Bundle up to stay warm, add a few cozy outdoor throw blankets and enjoy the party outside.
