Trendy Colors Staged to Make A Splash
Trendy colors are staged to make a splash in 2010. As we try to recover from this past year, designers are welcoming new color choices for a fresh and new start. As with all things new, these colors create excitement and positive feelings for the beginning of this new year.
Neutrals are slated to draw motivation from minerals, steel and concrete. Combine these neutral colors with shades of spice from nature. Such as tomato puree, peach blossom, apple green, paprika, lemon, vanilla and dijon. Colors will transform into vivid and crisp hues with blue and gray undertones.
Adding color is as easy as painting a wall, inside or out, or including fresh colorful accessories and accent pieces. These new color trends can elevate your state of mind with the start of the new year. For example, people react with optimism to hues such as turquoise, since it has warm and cool suggestions, it combines nicely with any other color in the spectrum. The addition of turquoise adds a touch of delight to neutrals, is a companion to red and establishes the latest trends with shades of yellow-green.
Sherwin-Williams suggests that, "The Global Tapestry brings color influences from many lands and weaves them together into a brilliant tapestry. Earth-inspired colors from India and Asia blend seamlessly with those of Latin America giving you a whole world of inspiration.
They also suggest that raw natural materials and handmade items by local artisans will make you feel connected every time you step outside."
So try a little color infused into your indoor or outdoor living room and see how it makes you feel.
