Sunbrella Shines for Adex Awards

May 18, 2009

Designjournalmag.com is a premiere online source for interior designers and architects. Each year they sponsor the ADEX Awards, which are Awards for Design Excellence. This year Sunbrella, won Platinum, Gold and Silver Awards for a number of  fabric and awning entries.

Sunbrella® Caroline Seabreeze Collection won the Adex Platinum Award. This collection features Dupione Sand, Canvas Ether, Canvas Bay Brown, and Caroline Seabreeze. Fresh, pure and energizing. Aqua commands the Seabreeze group presenting it as an enjoyable, and upbeat feel while modern neutrals establish it as a standard.

Sunbrella Velvets won the Adex Gold Award, these fabrics have class and sophistication and are suitable to formal indoor rooms yet durable for an outdoor environment.  Luxurious Sunbrella Velvet, is constructed with a deep pile. The color spectrum available in Sunbrella velvets is plentiful starting with Riviera, Mineral, Spa, Moss, Ginkgo, Pumpkin, Nutmeg, Taupe, Charcoal, Red, Vellum, Antique Beige, Wheat, Cocoa, Herbal Green, Terracotta, Plum, Deep Sea and Bay Brown.

Sunbrella Velvet is constructed with the same high performance yarns used in awning and marine utilization. The best thing about all Sunbrella fabrics are their attributes. These fabrics are stain resistant, fade resistant and easy to clean. Most stains can be removed with mild soap and water, but stubborn stains can be treated with solvents as strong as bleach or acetone without fear of damaging the fabric or removing the color.

Two Sunbrella Awning collections won Adex Gold Awards and The Sunbrella® Silica Awning Collection won the Adex Silver Award. The Sunbrella® Awning Collection features 28 new solids, textures and stripes.

These are wonderful fabrics that coordinate well with all other Sunbrella fabrics. For design suggestions or ideas write to me mblake@outdoorinteriors.com
