Joe Ruggiero Mixes It Up Inside & Out!

February 25, 2011

I had the pleasure of attending a Sunbrella/Miles Talbott Designer Special Event in Newport Beach on Wednesday. It was an exceptional day, blue skies, ocean views and a majestic hotel, Pelican Hill. Designers from Southern California and even Atlanta were present along with representatives from Sunbrella and Miles Talbott. The world-renowned designer Joe Ruggiero was one of the most inspirational speakers I have had the pleasure to hear.

Joe’s collections include Sunbrella fabrics, which he incorporates on his Miles Talbott upholstery designs, drapery and top of bed treatments from Casa Fiora, and intermixed with his hand built wood furniture designs from Gat Creek and Woodard furniture outdoor collections.

A Sneak Peak At Joe's New Sunbrella Fabric

Joe has succeeded in creating a lifestyle for consumers inside and outside of our homes. It was a pleasure to see and hear from the designers in the room how astonished they were to realize that the new Sunbrella fabrics resemble traditional indoor fabrics in design, color, and texture and provide the added benefits of a performance fabric that is durable, fade and stain resistant.  Velvet, chenille, linen, jacquard, stripes and solids can be mixed and matched to create your personal unique style inside the home and now outside too.

Joe’s travels around the world have inspired him in many ways. He creates his designs from his inspiration and shares his experiences through stories and beautiful photography as well as his collections.

If you are a specialty retailer you should take a look at his latest outdoor collection called Salona manufactured by Woodard. The collection’s clean sleek lines are enhanced with the addition of his alluring Sunbrella fabrics.

Joe’s philosophy is, “Don’t just look at the room, use the room.”  That is why Sunbrella is such a key ingredient in all of his creations. Take a look at Veranda magazine and House Beautiful to see just a sampling of his artistry.

Thanks Joe for the inspiration to mix it up inside and out…
